The winery was funded in 1995 by Josep M. Fuentes, who restored old vines growing Grenache and Carignan to produce Gran Clos wine. The production of this wine has been growing a lot during the last years, along with the property itself and other types of wines produced, such as Finca el Puig and white Viña Llisarda (currently white Gran Clos). Following the first harvest in 2004, Cartus wine became a product only for selected customers 2007. This is a wine made of red Grenache grown from a hundred years old vines and Carignan. In 2005, Les Mines wine and Solluna wine entered the market as well. These two wines are produced in Finca el Puig.
