Celler Balmaprat was funded in 2008, a small family winery in Porrera. The wine production comes from a very unique piece of land, La Balma, owned by Del Aguila-Pellicer family who has been planting vineyards during the last centuries. The main variety of wines is produced using Carignan and Grenache red wine grape, mixed with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The cellar is situated in what previously was the basement of a house in the town center and has been renovated. As the cellar produces a limited amount of wines, it is possible to pay attention to any detail throughout the whole process: grape cultivation, grape selection, fermentation and wine aging. In this way, as final result each bottle of wine produced has the highest quality possible.
